THE PERSON WHO READS WITH A CAT ON THEIR LAP Two black cats have claimed this bookcase. One is draped along the top shelf with a paw hanging over the edge, half asleep. The other sits upright beside a row of colourful spines, tail curled, watching something you cannot see. Around them: a trailing pothos, a snake plant, a spider plant, a sprig of lavender and three small succulents in patterned pots - the kind of reading corner people actually build. WHAT YOU GET - One 4 x 4 inch ornament, 3 mm acrylic, printed edge to edge in rich layered colour - Printed on both sides, so it looks finished from any angle on the tree - Stainless steel chain already attached, ready to hang out of the envelope - A kraft envelope sealed with a thank-you sticker, plus a printed thank-you card WHY ACRYLIC It is light and it does not shatter. If a cat knocks it off the branch - and one will - you pick it up and hang it back. That is not how the evening goes with a fragile ornament. WHERE IT GOES On the Christmas tree in December. In a sunny window the rest of the year, where the colour lights up in the afternoon. On a bookshelf, a door knob, a wall hook, the handle of a gift bag. WHO IT IS FOR The friend with a to-be-read pile taller than her nightstand. A librarian, an English teacher, a bookseller, a book club. Anyone who owns a black cat and calls it their reading buddy. Christmas, birthdays, housewarming, Secret Santa, stocking stuffers - or no occasion at all. CARE Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Skip abrasive cleaners and solvents; they dull the print. Ships flat and protected, ready to hand over without wrapping."
